Forensic Service

The Forensic Service provides inpatient and community-based mental health support to people who who have mental health issues and are in, or have been through, the criminal justice system.

The service bridges the gap between high and medium secure care and generic mental health services and community care.

  • We aim to promote your dignity, privacy and safety, balanced with the safety and security of the wider community
  • The service promotes close inter-agency relations with other service providers within the criminal justice system, independent sector, local authority and voluntary organisations
  • The service maintains strong links with referring agencies to facilitate discharge or transfer back to your local area
