The Healthy Living Service provides interventions that improve the physical health and wellbeing of the Trust’s service users. The Healthy Living Service includes healthy living advisors, dietitians, a physiotherapist and a health improvement specialist. The team can offer advice on a range of healthy living behaviours such as exercise and activity, healthy eating, cutting down or stopping smoking, and sensible alcohol use.
People with mental health problems are at a higher risk of developing physical health problems such as obesity, diabetes, stroke and heart disease. The best way to look after our physical health is with regular exercise and a healthy diet, and by drinking alcohol sensibly and stopping smoking.
How to access the Healthy Living Service:
The Healthy Living Service is a Trust-wide service and works with service users at various locations across Leeds. Anyone accessing services provided by Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust can ask their Care Coordinator for a referral to the Healthy Living Service.
