Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) provides specialist mental health and learning disability services to people in Leeds.
We also provide specialist inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and Low Secure Forensic Service in York which serve the regional population. Our specialist services accept national referrals.
Clinical services within the Trust are currently delivered across two service directorates:
The Leeds Care Group
- which provide adult services that are commissioned by the Leeds Clinical Commissioning Groups.
Specialist and Learning Disabilities Care Group
- which provide mainly NHS England specialist services, as well as some Clinical Commissioning Groups and Local Authority commissioned services, such as Learning Disability.
Psychology and Psychotherapy Service
The Psychology and Psychotherapy service employs a range of staff from different professional backgrounds, including psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, consultant psychiatrists in psychotherapy and highly experienced counsellors.
The pharmacy department works alongside the medical and nursing teams to ensure that medicines are used safely and appropriately. We also ensure medicines are dispensed in a timely and efficient manner and that service users have the information and education that they need to feel comfortable taking their medicines. We provide dispensing and clinical services to all inpatient units, day hospitals and outpatients.
We offer a range of psychological approaches and therapies to service users across the age range from 18 upwards, who meet the criteria for secondary care services.
