- General Practitioner (GP)
A GP (family doctor) is often the first professional someone contacts for help. GPs can refer patients to specialist mental health services, and are sometimes involved in the day-to-day care of the person.
- Gender Dysphoria
Gender dysphoria is a complex condition. People who have it believe that they were somehow born into the wrong body, and they often prefer to live as a member of the opposite sex.
- Gender Identity
This refers to your personal sense of knowing which gender you belong to, or the way you see yourself. For example, if a person sees themselves as male and identifies themselves as such, their gender identity is male.
